Ilona Tambor × Medicine: When Illustration Becomes Everyday Art
There are moments in my creative journey when an illustration begins to ask for more space, to move beyond silk, beyond the intimacy of a scarf, and to exist in a wider, more fluid way.
My collaboration with Medicine was born from that quiet curiosity.
From the very beginning, my work has been rooted in drawing. Every design starts by hand, line by line, story by story. These illustrations are deeply personal to me; they are fragments of places I have seen, emotions I have felt, and symbols that continue to evolve over time.
When I began working with Medicine, I wanted to explore what would happen if these stories could live differently.
Not instead of silk, but alongside it.
Together, we created a collection where illustration becomes something more immediate, more present in everyday life. The drawings were translated into garments and pieces that move with the body, shifting how they are seen and experienced.
It was important to me that nothing felt lost in this transition.
Every line, every composition, every detail had to remain true to its origin. Even as the scale changed, the essence stayed intact, expressive, intricate, and intentional.
Through Medicine, my illustrations found a new rhythm.
They became part of daily rituals, worn, layered, lived in.
And yet, at their core, they remain what they have always been: drawings that tell stories.
The collaboration is best understood not only through words, but through movement and atmosphere.
