Ilona Tambor in Vogue Poland: When Illustration Finds a Wider Voice

There are moments in a creative journey when something deeply personal begins to resonate beyond its original intention. Being featured in Vogue Poland was one of those moments.

What began as drawings, created quietly, line by line and often in solitude, found its place within a wider conversation about art, fashion and expression.

The feature accompanied my collaboration with Ilona Tambor x Medicine collaboration, where illustration moved beyond silk and into everyday form. The drawings were translated into garments and accessories, allowing them to exist differently: more immediate, more fluid, more alive in movement.

And yet, at their core, they remained exactly what they had always been: stories told through drawing.

Every design still begins the same way, in pencil, by hand. Each composition grows slowly, guided by memory, symbolism and emotion. That process has always been at the heart of my work, whether it appears on silk or in a new form.

Seeing this collection through the lens of Vogue Poland felt meaningful not because it changed the work, but because it reflected it back from another perspective. It placed the illustrations within a broader cultural context while allowing their intimacy to remain intact.

It was a reminder that even the quietest creative gestures can travel further than we imagine.
